The 'Chapter on the Practices and Vows of Samantabhadra' — the final book of the Avatamsaka Sutra — transcribed in ink on white paper. Containing the bodhisattva Samantabhadra's ten great vows, this chapter is regarded as the essence of Avatamsaka devotion. Its upright regular script and arabesque border together disclose, in stillness, the grandeur of the text.
