The Amitabha Sutra, transcribed without omission so that its characters build the form of a treasure pagoda — a 'spirit-pagoda' sutra copy. Written in gold on crimson paper, it enshrines Amitabha at the pagoda's heart and names the whole the 'Pure Land Treasure Pagoda,' giving form to the ancient vow of sutra-copying: to raise a pagoda by accumulating the words of the sutra.
